The efergy meter is a wireless smart electricity meter that allows you to instantly see
how much energy you are using at home or in the office (it updates every six seconds).
Simply enter the tariff found on your electricity bill, and the efergy will also display the monetary cost of your consumption.
Using your consumption information from the efergy meter,
you can see how changing your electricity usage will save energy and money.
For example, if you switch on a set of lights you will instantly see the effect this has on your energy usage. You can then make an informed decision on replacing those lights with more energy efficient globes or substitute a more efficient form of lighting in that area.
The efergy stores your usage data too, so you can track how your energy consumption changes over time.
The
efergy meter is also an excellent educational device. It is easy to use,
and increases awareness of
important issues related to electricity, energy and our environment.

The efergy must be installed by a licensed electrician.
The efergy pack comprises three components.
There’s a square, portable display monitor measuring only 85mm x 85mm, a sensor which clips effortlessly to a specific cable beneath the electricity meter and, finally, the transmitter which wirelessly passes on the information to the monitor.

Measuring electricity 'exporting' back into the grid:
This product is attached to your main electricity cable and measures
the electricity flowing through it.
It cannot determine the direction
of the electricity (Whether it is going back to the grid or importing
into your premises).
It is therefore not designed to provide accurate
readings if you are sending power back to the grid on the same line
that you import electricity.
